Tennis Racket Weight Guide

Racket weight changes how easy the frame is to swing, how stable it feels at impact, and how much control you have when the pace increases.

Lightweight rackets: under 285g

Lightweight rackets are easier to move and can help beginners, juniors, and doubles players react quickly. The tradeoff is that they may feel less stable against heavy shots.

Medium rackets: 285-305g

This is the most useful range for many adult players. It balances maneuverability, stability, power, and comfort without demanding elite timing.

Heavier rackets: 305g and above

Heavier rackets can improve stability and control for players with faster swings, but they can be tiring if the weight slows your preparation.
